A forklift rarely goes from "working perfectly" to "completely broken" without giving some warning first. In my experience, the warning is usually small: a hydraulic hose beginning to crack, a mast chain that looks dry, a tire losing chunks of rubber, a battery that needs charging more often, or an engine that starts running slightly hotter than usual.
